How it works

Real technology, explained simply. Every AgelessGlow device works with your skin's natural support system — muscle, circulation, and cell renewal — in its own specific way. Here's what's actually happening beneath the surface.

1. EMS & Microcurrent — Muscle Toning From the Outside In

As we age, the muscles beneath your skin gradually lose tone — just like muscles anywhere else in the body. When they lose tone, skin has less underlying support, which is part of why the face can start to look softer or less lifted over time. EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) and microcurrent use a very low-level electrical pulse to gently stimulate those facial muscles, similar to how a trainer might use e-stim on a larger muscle group. Used consistently, this can help support a firmer, more lifted look over time.

What it does:

  • Gently stimulates facial muscle fibers
  • Supports natural muscle tone
  • Pairs well with LED or warming for a fuller routine

Safety note: Not recommended during pregnancy or for anyone with a pacemaker, epilepsy, or metal implants in the treatment area. See our full FAQ for details.

2. Radiofrequency (RF) — Gentle Warmth, Deep Support

RF technology uses a gentle, controlled warming effect that reaches beneath the skin's surface. That warmth is believed to help support the skin's natural renewal processes over time — think of it as encouraging your skin's own systems to keep working a little harder. RF is often paired with EMS in the same device, since the two technologies target different layers: RF for warmth and support, EMS for muscle tone.

What it does:

  • Gentle, controlled warming sensation
  • Focuses on deeper skin layers
  • Often combined with EMS for a fuller routine

Safety note: Not recommended during pregnancy or for anyone with a pacemaker, epilepsy, or metal implants in the treatment area. See our full FAQ for details.

3. LED Light Therapy — Light-Based Care, No Heat or Muscle Stimulation

Unlike EMS or RF, LED devices don't stimulate muscle or use heat — they use specific wavelengths of light. Red light is generally associated with supporting the skin's natural renewal and a smoother-looking texture over time, while blue light is more commonly associated with supporting clear, calm-looking skin. LED is one of the gentlest technologies in our lineup and a good starting point if you're new to facial devices.

What it does:

  • No muscle stimulation, no heat
  • Red + blue wavelengths
  • Gentle enough for regular use (see product instructions for frequency)

Safety note: Not recommended during pregnancy or for anyone with a pacemaker, epilepsy, or metal implants in the treatment area. See our full FAQ for details.

4. Sonic Cleansing — A Better Starting Point for Everything Else

Every other technology in this lineup works better on clean skin. Our sonic cleansing brush uses soft silicone bristles and gentle vibration to lift away makeup residue, oil, and everyday buildup more thoroughly than fingers alone — without the scrubbing that can irritate skin. It's a simple first step, not a treatment on its own, but it makes everything that follows more effective.

What it does:

  • Soft silicone bristles, no harsh exfoliation
  • Gentle vibration lifts residue and daily buildup
  • A simple first step before serum or device use

5. Quartz Roller & Gua Sha — The Manual, No-Battery Ritual

Not every part of a skincare routine needs a battery. Rose quartz rollers and gua sha tools use gentle manual pressure and cool stone contact to support circulation and give your routine a slower, more ritual-like moment. Many people use these tools to help serum absorb more evenly and to de-puff first thing in the morning.

What it does:

  • No batteries, no charging
  • Cool stone contact
  • Pairs well with serum application

What to Expect

Results vary by device, skin type, and consistency of use. Many customers report their skin feeling firmer with regular EMS/microcurrent use, a more toned appearance around the neck and jawline, and a brighter, smoother-looking complexion with consistent LED use. Individual results are not guaranteed — see each product page for more specific detail.

Based on customer-reported experience through product reviews and surveys, not independent clinical studies specific to AgelessGlow devices.

Is it safe to use multiple devices in the same routine?

Yes — a simple order is: cleanse, then EMS/RF/LED, then serum, then roller. Always check the safety notes for each device above.

Who shouldn't use these devices?

Generally not recommended during pregnancy or for anyone with a pacemaker, epilepsy, or metal implants near the treatment area, or active skin conditions. See our full [FAQ page] for complete details.
